Our Story
Cecelia and Chandler met during their junior year of college in Washington, D.C. (back in 2015!). They started spending time together because of mutual friends, and eventually those friends encouraged them to stop being so shy and really get to know each other. They started dating soon after that and quickly realized that their priorities and goals for a relationship and life in general were closely aligned. They shared their interests and found new ones together while exploring their favorite city - roaming around the Smithsonian museums on Sundays, riding bikes to Jazz in the Park, and ending late nights with Jumbo Slice.
After graduation, Cecelia and Chandler moved to Milwaukee. They explored their hometown, met new people and reconnected with life-long friends, adopted three pets, and bought a home together. They kept traveling as much as they could, wandering through historic cities and hiking in national parks. They continued supporting each other’s goals, with Cecelia starting medical school with plans to graduate right after their wedding and Chandler earning a software engineering certificate.
Chandler proposed to Cecelia in a secluded garden at Versailles while on a trip to Paris (their second favorite city). Even though she knew it was coming, Chandler surprised her with a beautiful boat tour on the Seine afterwards. They aren’t sure where the next chapter of their story will take them, but they’re so grateful to have all their favorite people by their sides as they begin their marriage.
